Church Staff
Ministry Directors
Pastor Caleb grew up attending Faith Community Church. He first confessed Jesus as Lord at the age of six, and he sensed a call on his life to Christian ministry when he was 11 years old. Over the years he has overseen our junior high ministry and more recently our college ministry. He has served as one of our elders since 2016 and became our senior pastor in August 2020. He graduated from The Master's University in 2018 with a master’s degree in biblical studies. Prior to joining our staff, he taught mathematics for 18 years at the high school and college levels. He and his wife, Leah, have six children: Sophie, Aubrey, Elias, Josiah, Talitha, and Bethia.
Les Counts, Worship Leader
Les ministers at Faith as the worship leader and main pianist during our services. He has been on our staff since 2004. He is a graduate of California State University in Long Beach and has his master's degree from Juilliard School of Music in New York. Les and his wife, Becky, have three children: Rachel, Jacob, and Heidi.
Bev Gonda, Women's Ministry
Bev serves part time as the women's ministry director at Faith. She oversees all our ministries for women, including our women’s Bible studies and special events. She joined the staff in May 2019. She has attended our church since 2007. She and her husband, Rolly, have two children: James and Katherine.
Pastor Saul Hernandez, Spanish Ministry
Pastor Saul has served as our full-time Spanish pastor since 2010. He has been a Christian since 1995. He and his family have been attending Faith since 1999, and a short time later he became one of our elders. They have participated in both our English and Spanish congregations during that time. His wife, Carolina, serves as one of our church secretaries. They have three grown children named Britney, Jonathan, and Joseph as well as one grandchild.
Curtis has been on staff at Faith since 2000. He served as a high school intern for several years before becoming the director of assimilation and discipleship in 2002. Then he was our director of youth ministry from 2004 until 2008. Now he oversees our missions ministry. Curtis graduated from The Master's University in 2002. In addition to his ministry responsibilities at Faith, he is the women's soccer coach at his alma mater. Curtis and his wife, Deann, have four children: Titus, Natalie, Haven, and Colton.
Clint joined our staff in 2014. Prior to that time he served in our children's ministry as a summer intern for six years and then as a full-time intern for one year. He currently oversees all our ministries for children including Sunday school, Awana, vacation Bible school, and Camp Faith. Clint graduated from The Master's University in 2011. He and his wife, Bessie, have two children: Cora and Gilan.
Brad has been serving at Faith since 2005. He assists with our various Bible teaching ministries and helps new people connect to our church. He also updates our website and manages our online database. Brad received his Master of Divinity degree in 2009 and his Master of Theology degree in 2014 from The Master's Seminary. He and his wife, Michelle, have seven children: Hannah, Sarah, Abigail, Lydia, David, Timothy, and Esther.
Jason has been our director of youth ministry since 2009. He served at Faith as a children's ministry intern for three summers before serving as a high school intern in 2007 and 2008. Jason oversees all the middle school, high school, and college ministries at Faith. His main focus is the high school ministry. Jason graduated from The Master's University in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Christian education and youth ministry. He and his wife, Rachel, have two daughters: Everleigh and Emilia.
Support Staff
Carolina Hernandez, Spanish Secretary
Carolina has been on our staff since 2009. She serves as a part-time secretary working primarily with our Spanish ministry. Her husband, Pastor Saul, is our Spanish pastor. They have three grown children named Britney, Jonathan, and Joseph as well as one grandchild.

Miriam Kuehn, Church Secretary
Miriam and her family started attending Faith in 2008. She joined our staff in July 2020 and serves part time as our church secretary. She handles a lot of office work behind the scenes and helps our ministries run smoothly. She and her husband, Jim, have two sons: Samuel and Joseph.

Audrey Matteson, Payroll Secretary
Audrey serves part-time as our payroll secretary. She has been part of our church since 1987 when she and her husband, Pastor Dean Matteson, moved to California to start West Valley Church, which eventually merged with Faith Community Church. She and her husband have two children, Doug and Deann.
Jesus Patino, Custodian
Jesus works full-time at Faith as our custodian. He serves behind the scenes to maintain our facilities and prepare them for our Sunday services, regular ministries, and special events. He has been part of our staff since 2013. He and his wife, Lilia, have been married since 2015.
Nikki Pencille, Awana Secretary
Nikki works part-time as our Awana secretary and serves primarily with the younger clubs. She also oversees our nursery ministry. She has been on staff at Faith since 2016. She and her husband, Trevor, have two children: Gavin and Rebecca.
Jan Smith, Financial Secretary
Jan served as our full-time church secretary from 1993 until 2017. But she continues to work part time at the church, using her experience to help with the church finances. Her husband, Steve, is one of our elders. They have two grown sons: Ryan and Tim.
