Camp SoCal is an incredibly unique camp experience. For five days we will have a blast hanging out with friends, living in college dorm rooms, exploring Southern California, and competing in Squad Wars! What truly makes this week special is the chance to shift our focus from everyday distractions to hear engaging guest speakers teach God’s word and challenge us in our relationships with Jesus. There's nothing like Camp SoCal, and if you're a middle school or high school student, you won’t want to miss the best week of the year!

Supervision & Safety

All students will be assigned a background-checked leader for the week who is responsible for their safety and well-being during camp. This leader will be with them at all times when away from the university campus and is responsible for them while on campus. All leaders go through an interview and training process to ensure that they are prepared for the week. The name and cell phone number of your student’s leader will be available at check-in.

Safety is a priority for Camp SoCal. We have taken several steps to ensure the safety of your student:

  • All staff members are interviewed, background checked, and trained.

  • All staff members will have their cellphones on and with them at all times.

  • A CPR and First Aid trained staff member will be with the group at all times.

  • The Master’s University campus will have a security team present throughout the week.

Dress Code

For the week of Camp SoCal, we want students to focus on Jesus, so we ask that everyone dress appropriately, not in a way that distracts. If you feel like something is questionable, leave it at home.

Specifics for ladies:

  • No bikinis are allowed.

  • You may wear a one piece, a dark tank top over your swimsuit, or a tankini if it covers your stomach.

  • Tops without straps or that show your stomach should not be worn.

  • Clothing should not have any inappropriate language or illegal substances on it.

Specifics for guys:

  • Speedo style bottoms should not be worn.

  • Clothing should not have any inappropriate language or illegal substances on it.

Students will be provided most meals, with the only exception being a meal on the way home from camp. (Please bring $10 to cover the cost of this meal.) Snacks will also be made available, and students are welcome to bring and/or purchase their own. Please let us know on the attached medical form if your student has any food allergies that we should be aware of. We will try our best to make provisions if a student has a food preference (i.e. gluten-free preference), but guarantees cannot be made.

We will not be distributing or keeping medicine for students unless it is absolutely necessary. Your child will be responsible for his or her own medication during the week. Appropriate leaders will be given any medical information needed for those in their care. Please let us know if your student has any special needs.

Cell Phones & Communication

We desire for students to have a week to focus on Jesus without distractions. For this reason, cell phone usage will be somewhat restricted. Students should expect to have their phones with them only during limited activities. Leaders will have their cell phones with them at all times in case of an emergency. Please follow us on social media to get updates during the week.

Camp photos and updates will be posted daily to our social media accounts:
